Educational Philosophy
We believe God has given parents the responsibility of raising their children, and of educating them. Our hope is that SEEK offers classes that support parents by providing accountability, group learning experiences, social events, and enrichment opportunities. We believe that testing, grading, creating transcripts, and ultimately disciplining is the responsibility of the parent.
We believe that as believers in Christ, classes and approach to classroom conversations should have a Biblical worldview but that differences of doctrine are a personal decision are not to be dwelled upon in co-op.
We believe that classes and enrichment should be focused on truth, goodness and beauty based on Philippians 4:8 which says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”
We believe that students flourish when given the opportunity to discuss, research, wrestle and present; therefore, we encourage parent leaders to lean on these tools, rather than lecture, when planning classes at the upper level.
